I've tried everything. I completely and utterly removed it from the computer, included going into Regedit to strip out the old registry. Then I reinstalled. Now, I get the following error: HandleFile Unable to save file (FantasyGrounds.exe)
I'm really beginning to not like this program very much. It's frigging impossible to remove from your computer once it's on there, and every time I fix one problem, something else goes wrong. And before anyone points to virus, it's extremely unlikely since this is the only program I'm having any issues with.

Looks like a quick restart after installation fixed issues.

Although, since it's here, how do I add poison to a monster NPC's attack. For example, a monster might have the following attack:
Melee weapon attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target; Hit: 10 (1d8+5) piercing damage;
How would I add a poison effect to that?

Poison as additional damage or poison as a condition?
Actually, there's an example monster with both: the ettercap. If you use syntax like that, the parser should pick up on what you mean.

Poison damage is just added as part of the damage mechanic (for example, 1d6+1 poison damage). The parser will recognize it in case someone has poison resistance.
The poisoned condition is added just like any other condition...either target whomever you are about to apply it to so that it will force a save, or drag and drop the condition onto the target. The engine will not auto-apply conditions.

By the way...I figured out how to correct the unable to connect error you are getting without reinstalling.
The thing to check for is if the program keeps asking you to update after you clear or update the license (the Update button will be red). If so, then go to settings and update to the test or dev patch (on the bottom of the settings window). Let it run the update, and you should be good. After that, you can go back to settings and update it back to the live patch.

FYI...if you log in with my license, you'll likely get updated with Princes of the Apocalypse...I purchased it on Friday.
It also comes with the Elemental Evil Players Companion.
I plan on running Princes in the near future...not sure when, though. Or on which day of the week
